What if everything you knew about human history was wrong? When five high school friends formed Cavers 5, it was just a hobby—an excuse to explore the underground wonders of Pennsylvania. Over the years, their passion for caving forged unbreakable bonds and a reputation for skill and daring. But nothing in their decades of exploration could prepare them for what awaited beneath the Black Mountains of North Carolina.
A new cave—born from a massive sinkhole—beckons the team into its depths. What they find is not nature’s handiwork, but a labyrinth of crafted corridors, impossible doors, and otherworldly puzzles. Each barrier they pass reveals technology far beyond modern comprehension—doors that open to touch, holographic challenges that test their intellect, and chambers filled with strange lights, scents, and sounds designed for… someone else.
Their descent leads to a staggering revelation: a hidden civilization called Mearah, descendants of an ancient people who came to Earth 19,000 years ago from a distant world. Their underground city is a marvel of engineering, a place of healing, longevity, and secrets too profound to share with the surface. Guided by Koni, someone who embodies both alien heritage and human familiarity, the Cavers 5 are shown the truth of humanity’s past… and the price of knowing it.
As they move deeper into this subterranean society, questions mount. Why now? Why them? And once they’ve crossed the threshold into this secret world, will they ever be permitted to return to the one they left behind?

About Herb Glazer

Herb has always been a storyteller at heart. His head was constantly filled with stories that he never was able to share. Writing a novel was always on his bucket list; however, working full-time left him with little opportunity to pursue this ambition. Now retired, he can devote time to writing. His passion for it has exploded, and in 2018 his first novel, Sagittarius, finally became a reality.
Herb hopes to continue his creative journey with more books in the future. He enjoys writing fiction and draws much of his inspiration from life events growing up in the Bronx and Queens, New York, his time in the US Army, and living in Montreal.
