In the lawless lands of Southern Texas, where justice was written in guns and blood, Garrett Sills was bound by honor and torn apart by vengeance. As a bounty hunter, his battle for dominance escalated into a relentless fight for survival. Garrett wanted his son William to follow in his footsteps. He taught him all the tricks of a bounty-hunting gunslinger, everything he acquired in twenty years on the trail. William took to his father’s teaching like a fish to water. He became faster and more accurate than his teacher. Garrett gave his son a pair of guns, suggesting he name them so they would feel more personal. William chose Pearl and Onyx, inspired by the color of their handles.
While out riding, from a distance, William watched in horror as five men gunned down his father. By the time he reached his father’s side, he was sadly almost dead. His last words were, “San Antonio, Manning brothers.” One week later,William rode into San Antonio to avenge his father and killed six of the Manning brothers’ gang and wounded one. Then and there, the legend of Billy Ray Sills was born, and everyone knew that anyone who slapped leather against Billy Ray Sills signed their death warrant.
In his travels, the trail became a battlefield with the crack of six-guns and dead outlaws. Billy teamed up with a former Chinese rail worker named Saburo, a man proficient in hand-to-hand combat, as well asa six-foot-eight, 325-pound, freed slave named Thomas. Together they travelled, and their adventures changed the lives of all they met.

About Herb Glazer

Herb has always been a storyteller at heart. His head was constantly filled with stories that he never was able to share. Writing a novel was always on his bucket list; however, working full-time left him with little opportunity to pursue this ambition. Now retired, he can devote time to writing. His passion for it has exploded, and in 2018 his first novel, Sagittarius, finally became a reality.
Herb hopes to continue his creative journey with more books in the future. He enjoys writing fiction and draws much of his inspiration from life events growing up in the Bronx and Queens, New York, his time in the US Army, and living in Montreal.
